Our story
We are a small team of developers based in Silicon Valley.
We did not start out to "build a translation company" — we started out frustrated, humbled, and quietly determined.
Chapter 01Two rooms
The warmth was real. So was the gap.
For years, our work pulled us into rooms where English was not the first language.

We collaborated with partners in Japan — careful, precise, relationship-driven conversations where every word mattered.
The Gulf

We had projects and friendships in the Gulf, where hospitality and respect are shown through how you listen, not just what you say.
In both places, the warmth was real — and so was the gap when we could not fully understand each other.
Chapter 02 · The biggest issue in the room
Ideas arrived late. Nuance vanished.
We can deliver Thursday, if the are ready.

The language barrier was not a small inconvenience. It was the biggest issue in the room. Ideas arrived late. Nuance vanished. Trust took longer to build. We leaned on bilingual colleagues, on interpreters, on whoever could stand in the middle and carry meaning back and forth.
We were grateful for them — and we also felt how fragile that was: schedules, cost, time zones, and the quiet exhaustion of always needing a middle person just to be understood.
We remember the meetings that ran long because someone had to repeat a sentence three times.
The jokes that did not land until someone explained them.
The decisions that almost went the wrong way because a single word was interpreted differently.
Chapter 03
Those moments stayed with us — not as failures, but as a question we could not shake:
“What if two people could look each other in the eye and speak, without the conversation depending on who was free that day?”
Chapter 04
That question became Mingle.
We built it for the version of ourselves who sat in those rooms — tired, hopeful, and unwilling to let distance in language become distance between people.

Live translation should work on the phone already in your pocket — not only on the latest iPhone with the right earbuds.
Hardware lock-in is the enemy
When a feature requires two specific products from one ecosystem, most real conversations are already excluded. We refused that tax.
Technology should shrink the gap, not replace human care
Mingle gives everyone a fair shot at being heard in real time. The conversation stays human — we just remove the language wall.

Mingle.Fit was founded by Amer Haider and co-founded by Tabish Irfan.

Founder of Mingle.Fit, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work spans healthcare AI and technology: he is involved with Boston Health AI, co-founded the non-profit Pehla Qadam, which works to end untreated clubfoot in Pakistan, and is a named inventor on hardware-security patents.

How we write and check what we publish
- Every claim about a product, price, language count or device requirement links to the vendor's own page under “Sources”, with the date we checked it.
- When Mingle is part of a comparison we say so, and we say where a competitor is the better choice.
- We say what we have not measured. We have not run side-by-side accuracy tests, so we do not claim that one tool translates better than another.
- Our articles are drafted with AI assistance, then edited and fact-checked by a named person on our team, whose name is on every article.
- Pages about health carry a “Medically reviewed” line, with the doctors’ names and the date, only after doctors have reviewed that page.
