Arabic speakers deal with Turkish in plenty of ordinary places: private clinics in Istanbul, apartment viewings in Bursa, hotels and shops in Trabzon, a stall in the Grand Bazaar, a small business trading with Turkish suppliers, or a government counter where a Syrian or Iraqi family has settled for years. In each case someone has to be understood quickly, and a phrasebook only goes as far as the first unexpected question. Mingle takes what you say in Arabic and shows it as Turkish captions while reading it aloud, so the person across the counter gets full sentences instead of single words.

Ideal para conversaciones reales
Open mingle.fit on your phone, allow the microphone, choose Arabic as the language you speak and Turkish as the language to translate into, and talk. The captions stay on screen, which helps in a noisy clinic corridor or a crowded market. Read-aloud can play through the phone speaker or through earbuds. One phone placed between two people is enough, and a signed-in user can share the session so others join from their own phone. Everything runs in the browser, with nothing to install, and it needs an internet connection.
The clinic coordinator's desk in Istanbul
A father from Kuwait describes his daughter's symptoms in Arabic while the coordinator reads the Turkish captions and hears them spoken aloud. When the coordinator answers about test dates and fasting instructions, the family swaps to a Turkish to Arabic session so every instruction can be read in Arabic and checked before anyone signs a form.
A rental viewing in Bursa
A Syrian family asks the landlord in Arabic about the monthly rent, the deposit and who pays the building fees. The phone sits on the kitchen counter, and the landlord reads the Turkish captions while the family talks. To hear the conditions in his reply, they swap direction, read the Arabic captions, and only then agree to a contract.
Haggling in the covered bazaar
A visitor from Riyadh asks for a last price on a leather jacket and a few gifts. The seller hears the Arabic as Turkish and answers in a quick burst of lira amounts. A swap to Turkish to Arabic puts those numbers on the screen in front of both people, so the final figure is agreed on, not guessed.

Turkish and Arabic look unrelated on paper, yet they share a surprising amount of vocabulary. Words such as merhaba, teşekkür, kitap and cevap came into Turkish from Arabic, which is why a listener may catch a familiar word and relax. Do not lean on that too far. Turkish pronounces these words in its own way, drops the Arabic throat sounds, and a few borrowed words have drifted in meaning: adi, for instance, looks like Arabic عادي, but in Turkish it means vulgar or common in the unkind sense. The captions let both sides see which word was actually said.
The bigger difference is how a Turkish sentence is built. Suffixes carry the meaning: one long word can say who did something, to whom and when, and the verb usually comes last. Turkish has no grammatical gender, so the single word o covers he, she and it, while Arabic marks gender in nearly every verb and pronoun. Turkish also separates polite from friendly: siz is the form for strangers, elders and staff, sen for friends, and Bey or Hanım follows a first name. If the Turkish side sounds formal and sticks to siz, that is normal courtesy, not coldness.
Check the script and numbers on the screen. Turkish is written in Latin letters from left to right, and it keeps two separate letters, the dotted İ with i and the dotless I with ı, which change a word. Amounts follow Turkish habits: a full stop separates thousands and a comma marks decimals, so 1.250,50 means one thousand two hundred fifty and a half. When a price, an appointment time or a street number matters, read the caption aloud together before you move on.
Esta página trata específicamente de Árabe → Turco
One session carries one direction, Arabic into Turkish. When the other person answers in Turkish, use the swap in the session menu: it ends the current session, clears the captions and starts a new one running Turkish into Arabic. Tap the mic again and their reply appears in Arabic. Swap back before you answer. It adds a tap to the conversation, but each person only ever reads and hears their own language.
Preguntas frecuentes
Preguntas frecuentes
Todo lo que necesitas saber sobre la traducción de Árabe a Turco.
Will Turkish names, street addresses and amounts stay readable in the captions?
Turkish captions appear left to right in Latin letters, including the dotted İ and dotless ı and letters like ç, ş, ğ, ö and ü. Street names, flat numbers and lira amounts are the easiest details to mishear, so look at the caption line for the figure before you hand over money or sign anything.
Do I need to speak Modern Standard Arabic for the Turkish side to follow?
Speak the way you normally do. What matters for the other person is the Turkish line on the screen, so glance at it after an important sentence and rephrase more simply if something looks off.
How does the Turkish speaker's answer reach me?
A session runs one way, Arabic into Turkish. Tap the swap button in the session menu to end it and start a new Turkish to Arabic session; the captions clear, you tap the mic again, and the reply appears in Arabic captions. Signed-in users get each direction as its own history entry, while a guest uses one free session per swap.
Does Mingle work without an account or an app on my phone?
Yes. Open mingle.fit in the browser on any phone or computer, allow the microphone and start speaking. Guest sessions need no account or card; signing in adds saved history and longer usage on paid plans. An internet connection is required.
Can one phone handle a conversation with a Turkish speaker sitting next to me?
Yes. Put the phone on the table between you, speak Arabic, and the other person reads the Turkish captions or hears them through the speaker or earbuds if read-aloud is on. A signed-in user can also share the session so others join from their own phones.
