English replaces Japanese's layered honorific system with a smaller, more literal toolkit: "could you," "would you mind," and "I'm sorry to ask" do the polite work that verb conjugation does in Japanese, and getting the register right matters more in word choice than in grammar. Mingle recognizes natural spoken Japanese, including the softening phrases and indirect requests common in business Japanese, and renders them as courteous, natural-sounding English rather than a stiff word-for-word gloss.
