読み上げ

Registering a flat at a Berlin Bürgeramt, explaining a cough at a Munich practice, or asking a Vienna landlord whether heating is in the rent: each of these turns on a few precise words, a date, an amount and a name spelled the way your passport spells it. Mingle listens to your Spanish and gives the person across the desk German captions and a natural German voice as you speak, so you can say what you mean in your own language instead of rehearsing a sentence from a phrasebook. It runs in the browser of any phone or computer; there is nothing to install, only the microphone to allow.

実際の会話にぴったり

A session translates one way. When the clerk, the doctor or the landlord answers in German, tap swap in the language menu: the Spanish-to-German session ends, the captions clear, a German-to-Spanish one opens, and you tap the mic again. This guide is about Spanish → German in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, for Spanish speakers from Spain or Latin America who need to be understood clearly the first time.

  • The Anmeldung at a Berlin Bürgeramt

You moved into a flat last week, and Berlin asks you to register the address within 14 days, in person at a Bürgeramt appointment, with your passport and the landlord's Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. You explain in Spanish that you are a nurse who started at a hospital this month; the clerk reads German captions and hears a natural voice. Say both surnames slowly and watch them on screen. When the clerk asks something back in German, tap swap in the language menu: that session ends, the captions clear, a German-to-Spanish session opens, and you tap the mic again to read the question in Spanish.

  • The doctor's practice in Munich

At the reception desk you describe, in Spanish, the cough that started on Monday and the tablets you already take, and the receptionist reads it in German. To follow the reply about a free slot, swap to German-to-Spanish; with read-aloud on, the Spanish plays quietly in your earbuds. Before you leave, read the time in the caption: in German, "halb drei" is 2:30, half-way to three, not half past three.

  • The room viewing in Vienna

A student from Guadalajara asks the landlord, in Spanish, about the monthly rent, the deposit and whether heating is included, and he hears it in German. He answers in Austrian German, so she swaps to read his reply in Spanish. Two details to confirm on screen before she says yes: the amount, written with a decimal comma (650,00 €), and the move-in month, because in Austria January is often Jänner.

German makes you pick a "you". Sie, always capitalized when it is the polite form, is for strangers and for anyone behind a counter; du is for family, friends and peers. Mingle has no switch for this, so the German follows the way you speak: phrase requests with usted and the translation has a clear cue to use Sie. If a caption shows du where you meant to be formal, rephrase and say it again.

Numbers and times are where a Spanish ear slips. German says the units before the tens (dreiundvierzig is "three-and-forty", 43), and German Wikipedia notes that some authors link this order to swapped digits. Dates are written day.month.year with dots, 06.10.2026, and written times almost always use the 24-hour clock, so an appointment reads 14:30. Spoken, that same time is often "halb drei", half-way to three, which a Spanish speaker can easily hear as three thirty. The decimal comma and the point for thousands match Spain's habit; Swiss prices use an apostrophe and a decimal point instead.

Some German words look like Spanish ones and mean something else. On a form, Unterschrift is your firma, while Firma asks for your employer. Your dirección is an Adresse; a Direktion is a head office. A Brief is a carta, but a Karte is a card or a map, and a Regal is a shelf, not a regalo. Mingle translates what you mean, not words that look alike, but these catch people reading German paperwork or mixing a German word into a Spanish sentence.

German writes every noun with a capital letter and glues compounds into one word, so a letter can ask for a Wohnungsgeberbestätigung, the landlord's confirmation of your move. Long words like that are easier to read in the caption than to catch by ear. German also has ü and ö, rounded front vowels that the five Spanish vowels do not include; the ch in "ach" is close to the Spanish jota. If you have to say a German street name or a surname with umlauts, check it on screen. In Switzerland, ß is written ss, so the street on your contract may say Strasse rather than Straße.

よくある質問

よくあるご質問

スペイン語からドイツ語への翻訳について知っておきたいことをまとめました。

Will the German come out with du or Sie?

German uses Sie with strangers and in formal situations, and du with family, friends and peers. Mingle has no formality setting, so the translation follows how you phrase things in Spanish. At an office or a practice, speak as you would with usted ("¿me puede ayudar?"), then check the caption: the formal Sie is written with a capital S even mid-sentence.

Why do German numbers trip people up?

From 21 to 99, German says the units first: einundzwanzig is literally "one-and-twenty", while Spanish says veintiuno, tens first. Spoken quickly, 21 and 12 or 45 and 54 are easy to swap by ear, so read the digits in the caption. Germany and Austria write 1.250,50 € (comma for decimals, point for thousands), and Swiss prices are written like 1'250.50 with an apostrophe and a point.

Which of my two surnames ends up on the German form?

A German residence registration records a Familienname, Vornamen and any earlier names. If you carry two apellidos, say both, spell them, and tell the clerk which part is your surname and which are given names. Then check the German caption letter by letter before anything is printed.

Can I talk to someone who speaks Swiss German or Austrian German?

Mingle has one German setting, and its accuracy on Swiss dialects or Austrian regional speech has not been measured. In German-speaking Switzerland people write Swiss Standard German but usually speak their local dialect, so if the Spanish captions look off, ask politely for Hochdeutsch, standard German. Watch regional words too, such as Jänner for January in Austria.

Does it work at an office with no Wi-Fi?

Mingle needs an internet connection, but mobile data is enough. Open mingle.fit in your phone's browser, allow the microphone and start as a guest, with no account and no card. Sign in if you want saved history, for example to look up an appointment time or an address afterwards.
